Education and background:
Jenelle has been practicing as a Professional Counselor in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan since 2009. She earned her Master of Arts Degree in Professional and School Counseling in 2009 from Central Michigan University, and her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Child and Human Development from CMU as well. She has worked in a variety of settings, providing counseling and therapeutic services to diverse populations. Her areas of experience include, but are not limited to: adjustment challenges, life balance, anxiety, depression, trauma, and child and adolescent development.

On a personal note:
In addition to helping others in her role as a therapist, Jenelle also enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, hiking in nature, being outdoors, bonfires, traveling, sports, animals, organizing (when the mood strikes!), and has a passion for learning.

Jenelle spent a lot of time, heart, and thought while creating a name for her counseling practice. Her maiden name is Buda, which is also one of her nicknames; and the Lotus flower is a symbol of Buddha. The word “Lotus” in Green Lotus Professional Counseling Services is a nod to her nickname and piece of her identity, as well as paying homage to the symbolism of a green Lotus, which is a gift to someone who is trying to make a healthy change in their life. Lotus flowers symbolize strength, rising above, peace, rebirth, enlightenment, and purity of mind, body, and spirit. All of these qualities can be achieved through the counseling process.

Jenelle provides individual counseling services for adults and adolescents.
